My Fur Babies

I love my dogs. They can be a handful but I love them so very much. We have a 2 year old Schipperke (Annie) and a 7 month old Yellow Lab/Australian Shepherd mix (Sammy). They are the two most spoiled babies. They are outside dogs (we have a nice fenced in backyard) but they are spoiled about as much as inside dogs would be.

Annie is a little priss. She is very reserved and, well, prissy. We adopted her from PetSmart and later found out she is a full bred Schipperke. She does have a white spot on her mouth though, so she's not show quality. You wouldn't know it by how she acts though. I swear she walks around like she's in front of judges at all times, prancing along.

Sammy, on the other hand, is just a big, silly dog. He's still not full grown yet and is in his gangly stage. He lumbers around, with his giant tongue sticking out, just waiting to play. When we take them for walks he is in a constant running state. It's really hilarious because he starts wheezing when he won't just slow down a little, he wants to be hightailing it at ful speed. We call him Yellow Dog (anyone seen Funny Farm?) because he sleeps 95% of the day. If we look out on the deck he's usually sprawled out taking another nap.

Here's a picture of the two of them doing something they love - sticking their heads through our deck rails. It's a couple months old though and he's even bigger now. I will definitely update when I can get him to sit still to nab some shots with my camera phone.
